Things are evolving for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – in a negative way – as they are about to lose their Canadian security, following their decision to stop back as members of the royal family.
According to an official statement from the Canadian Office of the Minister of Public Safety, the two won’t benefit from any security arrangements from the Canadian police.
“At the request of the Metropolitan Police, the RCMP has been providing assistance to the Met since the arrival of the Duke and Duchess to Canada intermittently since November 2019. The assistance will cease in the coming weeks, in keeping with their change in status,” the statement says.
Harry and Meghan’s ‘exit’ from the Royal Family will officially begin on March 31, when a transition period of 12 months will begin, in order for them to settle into their new lives.
