There’s no doubt that the role of Erik Killmonger was the one that seriously boosted Michael B. Jordan’s career, but it also took a toll on him.
The actor revealed that having to fully embrace such an intense character was a real challenge for him, as he has to go to “dark place,” which eventually affected him psychologically.
“It was one of those things that I didn’t know what was going on,” Michael B. Jordan explained.
“I never was in a character for that long of a period of time and was, I guess, that dark, that lonely, that painful. So coming out of it, I thought, ‘Oh yeah, business as usual. I can just go back home, I’ll cut my hair off, and everything will be back to normal.”
Well, he surely managed to remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe history with this role!
