Yes, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” remains #1

Mariah Carey

Looks like Christmas came earlier for Mariah Carey this year as her holiday classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has reached the first position on the Billboard Hot 100, even though it was released 25 years ago.

This would be the singer’s 19th No.1 of her career, being second to the Beatles, who managed to have 20 songs topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

However, this doesn’t come as a big surprise…

Pretty much each holiday season, Mariah Carey’s classic begins to climb the top, as it popularity resurfaces. For example, back in 2018, the song reached the third position and set a one-day streaming record on Spotify.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” was initially released in 1994, part of the “Merry Christmas” album. And it became one solid reason for Mariah to go on tour even this year!
